I know, I know.........

Not dead, just busy.
We went to Texas for Easter and stayed longer than we planned. I couldn't get into my Bloggger account for 2 weeks so sorry I left you all hanging :o)

Texas was wonderful. HOT, but wonderful. I cut off my hair and had a " incident" with a tanning bed. Note to self: 10 minutes is no good when you are the color a mayonnaise. Next time go for 5. You won't look like a lobster and peel like a lizard afterwards.....
We were just as busy there as we are here, which I totally don't understand. We didn't even get a chance to call Randy's cousin- more- like-his-sister when we were there.
So I guess we just have to go back again.

I missed spending time with my brother while he was here in town.
He bought a bike so my Dad bought a Harley.
My brother's 25th Birthday was 2 days ago- Happy Belated Birthday, I love you.
His Birthday is also National New Kids on the Block day( Donnie was my fav). I know he's always so excited when I bring that up
My Aunt had a fundraiser for the Mary Madeline Project that I wasn't able to post about.
Let's see...What else????
OH!!! I got a kick ass job with a hospital/organization that I've been trying to get on with since I was 21, so that's really cool. I start Monday. WOOOOOHOOOOO!

We listened to the book Undead and Unreturnable on the way to Texas. I never laughed so hard in my life. Became addicted and had to go out and get all the other Undead books in the series. See, the boys in my family buy bikes - I, on the otherhand, buy books. I've read 3 books in 2 days. I forgot how much I loved reading!!!

So, life is back to normal (somewhat) now. Now, that I no longer have my nose stuck in a book I have to try get caught up on laundry and get my house in order before I go back to work full time.

Soooo, how are you guys????

Long and boring post to show I'm still alive

I feel like it's been forever since I last posted. Holy crap have we been busy! This weekend was nuts! Friday night I got my first shift at my new job. I was scheduled to spend the night taking care of a older woman that lives with her daughter, but the daughter had to go into the hospital for overnight observation. This lady was so cute.I was so bored overnight I cleaned their house and then watched a couple of movies. It was a cake walk. I was there from 6pm until 8:45am the next morning. I was supposed to leave at 7am, but my replacement was running way late. I didn't mind. I then had to get home and race to get ready for family pictures at 11am. After that we had Grace's family birthday party. By 3:30pm I was so tired I fell asleep on the ride home ad then took a 4 hour nap.
Sunday morning I went to church with my parents and Grandpa. I went to Catholic mass. Not a huge deal since I was raised Catholic, but now I'm Lutheran. And believe me - it's not that different. Lutherans are just lazy Catholics. No standing and then kneeling then standing. Anyways, I landed over and asked my mom if I was still allowed to go up for communion(Well, I referred to it as a snacky treat and then a scooby snack, which she didn't find very funny..looking back I suppose it is disrespectful to call the body of Christ a Scooby snack).
After Church was Family breakfast, where I insisted that I get my own Easter basket this year( My parents just do family baskets). My Dad is a stud and said " Daddy will take care of it".
HA! Just because I'm an adult with children doesn't mean I don't want my own Easter basket.

Then I had to rush home and get ready for a baby shower. I took both of the girls with me. That was a treat. I'll never do that again. Then I had to go hang out at my parents house cause Randy and our friend Gary were putting together the playset my parents got Grace for her birthday. This thing is massive!
Once the girls were in bed, Randy went to do the Grocery shopping and I passed out on the couch. I woke up and ate dinner and then passed out until 9am the next morning.
Now I'm in a mad rush to get this ready to go to Texas this weekend.
The fun is never ending!

3 years ago today ( part 3 )

It was Sunday.
I'd been on a Pitocen drip since Thursday and nothing had happened.
They broke my water at 8am.
Noon came and went and I dilated to 2.
4pm dilated to 3.
My epidrual sucked- it wasn't working for shit.

At 9pm I was dilated to 3 still and the nurse said that there was either a hand or an umbilical cord coming down.
She wasn't sure.
And then the other 900 people who looked up my cho-chaw couldn't either.

10pm they decided on c-section.
My BP was 210/110.
I felt everything and was told the only other thing they could give me would make me go to sleep.
I needed to hear her cry.
After what seemed like forever I heard a faint cry and I scremed.
That was all I remember.
I was out

April 6, 2003
Maria Grace
4 pounds 11 ounces was born at 32 weeks gestation.
She got one good scream out, grabbed her Daddy's finger and her lungs failed.

I woke up shortly after midnight just as Randy was walking back in the recovery room.
I asked her weight and what color hair she had.
He told me she was doing ok, but wasn't able to breath on her own.
They wouldn't let me see her because I was too sick.

But this story ends well.
At 8:23 am the next morning, with my Dad and Randy by my side I saw one of the most beautiful creatures to ever come to this planet.

13 days later my rock star daughter came home from the NICU.

Today she's 3 years old and I fall more and more in love with her everyday.
I love you sweet Grace

3 years ago..( part 2)

I'd been on the pitocen drip for over 24 hours..
Nothing was happeneing.

I was so tired.
I hadn't slept for more than 2 hours in a few days.
I hadn't been able to eat in weeks without losing it.
Jello was all there was for me at this point.

I was scared.
I was worried fo Randy and my baby girl.
32 weeks is early.
Randy just kept a happy face on.
No one would go home.

3 Years ago yesterday.....

I was terrified.
The pitocen drip was started. Although I was bearly 32 weeks along the baby needed to be delivered.
There was water aroung my heart and in my lungs.
My BP was 210/110...
I was sick.

I had no idea how much my life was about to change.........
